A fascination with how people build and safeguard their wealth triggered Ryan’s initial interest in financial planning. Following several financial advisory internships during college, he joined a wealth management team at Morgan Stanley in 2007. Starting his career at the beginning of the financial crisis eventually proved invaluable as counseling clients during times of great economic turmoil served as an excellent teacher. During this time, Ryan received his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification.
Years later, to broaden his knowledge, Ryan joined the strategic planning team of a multi-hospital system. While interesting work, he ultimately missed working directly with and affecting the lives of individual clients. Seeking a shift to personal financial planning, Ryan joined Atlanta Financial Associates in early 2015 as an associate advisor.
In this role, Ryan focuses on crafting extensive financial and investment plans for clients. He frequently helps clients answer the question, “Will we have enough?” through tailored retirement income projections. Ryan enjoys unpacking complicated multilayered planning issues and designing solutions that address not only the numeric aspects of an item, but also the client’s feelings, hopes, and concerns.
Ryan and his wife, Aiten, live in Atlanta and met while in college at Emory. Outside of the office, Ryan enjoys traveling, tackling his ever-growing nightstand book stack, working out, and exploring Atlanta’s burgeoning restaurant scene. He actively supports and participates in Everybody Wins!, which promotes childhood literacy, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and the alumni mentor program of Emory University’s Goizueta Business School.
