Finance initially sparked Mitch’s interest when he learned about the Dow Jones while in elementary school. He started asking his father on a regular basis “how is the Dow doing?” because the constant change and affect fascinated him. Later on in his schooling, it became apparent that he could have a lasting impact on the lives of individuals and their families by providing guidance and insight on their financial picture. He firmly believes that sound financial decision making is an important part of one’s life journey – enabling them to have the freedom to enjoy doing what they love. Mitch has dedicated his career to being a part of that process and strives to provide value in each of his client interactions.
As an Associate Advisor, Mitch works alongside one of AFA’s principals, Rick Henderson, to prepare and implement items for client meetings, all while getting to know the clients and their goals on a personal level. His role includes keeping abreast with current market trends, researching and reporting ideal investment options, and equipping Rick with the necessary information and materials to make the best possible recommendations to clients.
Mitch holds his Life and Health Insurance licenses. He is currently studying to obtain his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® designation and will sit for the board exam in November 2020.
In 2017, Mitch earned a B.B.A in Finance from the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia. He comes to Atlanta Financial with experience as a business analyst with Troutman Sanders LLP, and two years of relationship management experience with BB&T Wealth.
During the fall season, Saturdays in Athens are among Mitch’s favorite days of the year because he gets to watch the Georgia Bulldogs play football. He has been an avid golfer since he could pick up a club, and whole-heartedly supports his Atlanta sports teams through thick and thin. After work, you can find him at a martial arts studio near his home in Buckhead, GA, or listening to classic rock and attempting to play along on the guitar.
