Harrison’s position as a Wealth Manager with Atlanta Financial Associates allows him to combine a love for finance with a passion for helping others succeed. This combination provides an opportunity to assist clients with achieving their long-term financial goals. Harrison spends the majority of his time working to guide pre-retirees successfully to and through retirement, in addition to assisting current retirees with personalized income strategies.
Harrison also particularly enjoys guiding the younger generation on the path to financial freedom through strategies to minimize debt and accumulate wealth over time. He finds that by helping individuals and couples in their twenties to forties start to make smart, educated decisions about their finances early in their financial journey can pay major dividends down the road. In addition to working with clients to achieve their various financial goals, Harrison also serves an active role constructing and monitoring the firm’s asset allocation models on the AFA Investment Planning Committee. He is also passionate about providing guidance to younger associates that are just entering the industry.
Harrison joined the Atlanta Financial team in September 2014 after working as a financial advisor with MassMutual Financial Group and was rapidly promoted into his current position. He graduated from the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business in May 2013 with a BBA in finance. Harrison is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional as well as an Accredited Investment Fiduciary designee. He holds Series 6, 7, 63, and 65 securities registrations through Commonwealth Financial Network®, in addition to being a licensed insurance agent for life, accident, sickness, and variable products.
In his spare time, Harrison enjoys rooting for the Dawgs in Athens, reading, and playing with his “fur-child”—a 70-pound goldendoodle named Knox. Harrison and his wife, Erin, live in Roswell and enjoy trying new restaurants and taking weekend trips – they get along 364 days of the year, with the exception being the annually contentious Auburn-UGA football game.
